Different regions require extra precautions for creation of student accounts and handling of student data under certain ages. In the United States, COPPA requires extra restrictions for students under the age of 13. Similarly in many EU countries under GDPR, precautions are required under 13, 14, 15, or 16 years of age, depending on each country’s individual rules. Because of this, we take the same level of care to student accounts regardless of age or location.</p> <p>Protecting the privacy of young children is especially important to Formative.
