This is not correct.

Privacy policy:

"This Privacy Policy may be updated as needed so that it is current, accurate, and as clear as possible. When it is updated, you will have to review and accept the changed policy within 30 days of such changes to continue using preset relay servers. Even if you fail to accept the changed policy, your continued use of SimpleX Chat software applications and preset relay servers confirms your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy."

Conditions of use:

"Changes to the conditions. SimpleX Chat Ltd may update the Conditions from time to time. The updated conditions have to be accepted within 30 days. Even if you fail to accept updated conditions, your continued use of SimpleX Chat Applications confirms your acceptance of the updated Conditions and supersedes any prior Conditions. You will comply with all applicable export control and trade sanctions laws. These Conditions cover the entire agreement between you and SimpleX Chat Ltd, and any preset server operators where applicable, regarding SimpleX Chat Applications. If you do not agree with these Conditions, you should stop using the Applications."

If Privacy policy or Conditions of use change, the app will show a full-screen notification about it, together with the link to diff in GitHub - as transparent as it can be.

<p>The current privacy policy does clearly state "Your continued use of our Services confirms your acceptance of our updated Terms and supersedes any prior Terms. "</p>

<p>So no changes needed.</p>

This quote is taken out of context and misrepresents the nature of the relationship with the usersd. By failing to quote that the users are given 30 days notice before any changes go into effect, you mislead users making it read as if the privacy policy or conditions of use can be changed without any notice.

The proposed edit that we ask is this:

"The user is notified about any changes 30 days before changes go into effect. User has an option to stop using preset relays in this period. After that period, continued use of software and preset relays confirms user acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy."

This is factual, and this is better than what absolute majority of apps do - updating the policy without any notice.

Thank you, SimpleX Chat.
