The Privacy Policy states that user information will "in most instances, be part of the assets transferred" in the event of a business transition (due to, e.g., bankruptcy, merger/acquisition, etc.). In such cases, users will be notified either by email (assuming a current email address is on file), by change to the privacy policy, or via a notice on the website. In the latter two examples, users bear the responsibility of checking the website periodically for such changes.

Shortened quote; eliminated notes about use of transferred info because that is a separate issue.
