New York recently introduced some new privacy laws that are quite strong for consumers called the New York Privacy Act (NYPA). The NYPA includes: large fines, the ability for individuals to take legal action a company; enforcement of the NYPA regardless of location as long as NY residents are involved; right to review, edit and delete personal information; prevent discrimination for enacting the law.
