<p>When you join a region, the local administrators (Municipal Liaisons) may view your writing project and session information, as well as anonymized location data (if you’ve chosen to provide it).
They use this information only to support the writers in their region.</p>
<p>NaNoWriMo will not share any of your information with outside third parties, unless it is necessary for safety or legal purposes.</p>
<p>Who Can See You</p>
<p>By default, your profile and writing project information are viewable by other users on the NaNoWriMo site.
If you wish, you may restrict access to only yourself and NaNoWriMo administrators.</p>
<p>Emails</p>
<p>Establishing an account on the NaNoWriMo website subscribes you to our mailing lists.
We use a third-party service (Campaign Monitor) for our mailing-list management, but your information is only accessible by NaNoWriMo.</p>
<p>You may unsubscribe or update your email preferences at any time.</p>
<p>Data Protection</p>
<p>You may access and/or update the majority of your personal information at any time.
Some information that we collect is stored only in the NaNoWriMo database.
in these cases, you may contact us to request a copy of all the information we possess.</p>
