What personal information do we use?</p>
<p>Yap Books do not collect any Personal Information about you unless you voluntarily provide it.
On sign up to our service certain Personal Information will be required in order to create your user account.</p>

<p>When creating a Yap Books account an email address will be required and a user name of your choice will also be required.
Your email address is then used to identify your Yap Books account and associated book creations created in the application.
This personal data is never shared and is encrypted on Amazon AWS servers to ensure the full and safe protection of your data.</p>

How we use your email address?</p>
<p>Your email is never used for anything other than to identify you as a user and to communicate with you from the application such as account reminders, sending reading analysis, and assigning any creative content that you create within the Yap Books application.</p>

<p>Your email address will never be used for marketing purposes or shared with third parties.
Simply put, we won’t sell, share or hold any personal data and that would put your digital identity at risk of misuse.</p>

<p>What digital files does our app process?</p>
<p>When using the create book feature in the Yap Books application any of following digital files will be required.
Images, photo, video, text, Gif, and audio files.</p>

<p>Why do we require these digital files?</p>
<p>When using the ‘create story’ feature within the Yap Books app, you will be required.
These files will be displayed when a user reads back a story from their collection.
The aforementioned files are uploaded and stored on our server https://www.yaplibrary.com.
We do not include any location data storage for any process within our app or any other forms of data or private information and all users are in complete control to what data is included when creating a voice animated story.</p>

<p>How is your content stored?</p>
<p>We are committed to ensuring that all information is secure and have put in place suitable physical, electronic and organisational procedures to safeguard and secure your data from unauthorised access, disclosure, modification or destruction.
All of your data is stored within the European Economic Area (EEA), hosted by Amazon AWS in segregated storage with all relevant protection measures including the use of encryption of all data in transit and at rest.</p>

<p>Data will only be retained by Yap Technology whilst you maintain an account with us.
Should you decide to close your account your data will automatically be deleted along with any content created by you.</p>

Payment</p>
<p>All payments are made via Apple in-app purchases.
We do not have access to any of your payment details, do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.</p>

Copyright</p>
<p>If we feel you have infringed any copyright laws we will reserve the right to publish or will remove your content.
Yap Technology do not accept liability for any copyright infringements.
Please ensure that all creations have been passed for use and be clear of any 3rd party logos or content that you do not have permission to use.</p>

Account Closure</p>
<p>If for any reason you wish to remove your Yap account, this can be done by emailing accounts@yapbooks.com.
To close your account please use the email associated with your account to instruct and authorise us to delete your account.
Any files associated with your account will then be deleted and your account will be completely removed from our database.</p>

Product refunds</p>
<p>If you experience an issue with your software please contact us at support@yapbooks.com and a member of staff will be in touch.
If the issue cannot be rectified and you wish to close your account you will be given a refund within 3-4 days.</p>
